Each designed and manufactured system is treated as an IT project, which is properly managed, and so planned, organized, implemented and monitored.

Project management methodology used by Suncode consists of several stages. At each stage of the project there are ‘manufactured’ products of each stage. An important task is to define the products for each stage, which are “milestones” of the project. Each stage of the phase is accepted by the project manager or the steering committee. Acceptance of the products on the stage allows to start the next stage in the project.

The implementation of each project is preceded by a pre-analysis on the feasibility study which specifies timing, technical, organizational, financial feasibility of the project and the level of support the company’s strategic objectives, analysis of functional requirements of the system (URA). The result of the implementation stage is system creation, operatively called ‘the technical specifications’ acceptable by all parties to the project.

It should be noted that every IT project should consist of the following elements:

  • project budget,
  • project schedule,
  • quality management of the project,
  • risk management project,
  • Project Resource Management,
  • project organization,
  • methods for managing project changes,

The next step in given stage of the project is the physical implementation (production) system with accordance to the schedule and specifications. In addition, the interfaces are made for external IT systems, making possible to test interfaces. The tests are one of the most important steps and they include the implementation and tests of both functionality and performance, configuration, and ergonomy of use. After the acceptance of the final configuration, there is a training, which embraces in particular users, administrators and instructors.

The third and final phase of the project is productive system start. This phase begins with preparation of running the system. Suncode specialists develop a transition plan to the target system. The plan anticipates various boot scenarios. The final step of the project is to shut down the project. This includes a summary of the project, identification of contacts in service and development of the system matters and reward people involved in the successful venture.
